Other Interests
Architecture & Interior Design
I’ve always been drawn to the character and stories of historic buildings, restaurants, and cool spaces but my love for architecture and interior design really flourished around the time my husband and I renovated our first home—a 1912 pre-war condo. Check out these photos to see how we preserved our unit’s vintage charm and seamlessly blended it with modern touches.

Food
I’m a self-proclaimed foodie constantly seeking out new culinary experiences, trying different dishes, exploring local eateries, and experimenting with new recipes at home. I’m always eager to share recommendations, swap recipes, and chat about my latest foodie finds with others.

Art History
All it took was one art history class in college to convert me into an art lover! Since that pivotal class, I’ve been lucky enough to stand in awe and admire these incredible works of art:
Michelangelo’s colossal David at the Accademia;
Botticelli’s ethereal Birth of Venus at the Uffizi;
da Vinci’s masterpiece, Mona Lisa at the Louvre;
Rembrandt’s chiaroscuro light play on The Night Watch at the Rijksmuseum;
Monet’s expansive Water Lilies at the Musée de l'Orangerie;
van Gogh’s strokes on the bright Sunflowers at his namesake museum and on the dreamy The Starry Night at MoMa;
Warhol’s Campbell’s Soup also at his namesake museum; and,
the world-class collections & exhibits at the Art Institute of Chicago.

Travel
Each time I visit a new place, I always make a point to wander aimlessly so I can feel its heartbeat and discover off-the-beaten path surprises. Safe to say, I definitely embrace the flâneur lifestyle I discovered while watching people, people-watching at a corner cafe in Paris! Check out some of my travel photos from Mexico City, Maui, and Salzburg!

nature
I also love spending time outdoors in nature and though I have only crossed off 7 national parks from my list (Glacier, Cuyahoga Valley, Rocky Mountain, Acadia, Grand Teton, Yellowstone, and Haleakalā National Parks), I have Grand (Canyon) plans of visiting most, if not, all of them sometime in this life.
